With the threat of program cuts, Academic Council at @ontariotechu.bsky.social is more important than ever as a collegial decision-making body. According to their own policy, if the Admin plans to alter the academic mission through cuts, they have to bring these decisions to Academic Council

Agree with @dartmouthsue.bsky.social 100% esp. wrt what Dayna Scott calls "green enthusiasm" and the scramble to financialize/monetize "critical mineral" extraction. Private capital accumulation is the goal at the expense of actual socialized outcomes and the creation of new sacrifice zones.
