There's no info on the card about the cat, but the photo is by my favorite of the Victorian/Edwardian cat photographers, C.E. Bullard. His cats always look relaxed and comfortable, not crammed into costumes or restrained in anthropomorphic poses. He seemed to really love cats.
What does the back of the postcard says about this little guy? Can we all appreciate that someone in 1900 wanted to take a photo of their cat, despite the rarity of cameras the and the expense of film development?
