A Starlink v3 has "a few kilowatts" of power, the ISS about 250kW, while a data center 250,000kW (and must radiate that much heat too). How does this work? Tens of thousands of Starlink sats bolted together in LEO, brighter than cybertruck headlights overhead?

Depressing, but a shocking thing is Goddard is using the shutdown to order moves out of lab and engineering spaces on 2-3 days notice, requiring major equipment to just be left behind and demolished

Good news for those (illegally) RIFed -
& another reason to join your local union

A federal court just clarified that its restraining order protects even more feds from RIFs during the shutdown --
including those in unions their agencies stopped recognizing (illegally, btw).
