Everyone in Greater Manchester lives within 15mins of a local hospital

But better 5mins of a local GP practice

Wes is opening some Neighbourhood Centres to bring hospital closer to home🤔

Want some services outside hospital?
Why not just invest in GP practices?

I've been thinking about a wealth tax and what I think the govt misunderstands is that it's not even about whether or not it will raise money anymore. It's about pushing back against people who use tax havens to remove wealth from the country and on the ridiculous inequity between rich and poor.

Does a resident doctor earn more than an MP? No. Let’s save the desperate morality grasps from politicians then. MPs have had umpteen pay rises since 2010 and they have quietly and relentlessly awarded these to themselves, regardless of what the public is going through.

There are 69 NHS trusts still paying off old PFI debts.
And new PPP schemes could lock us in again.

The NHS can’t afford another generation of debt.
It’s time to say: no more private profit from public care.

We can’t let history repeat itself.

Terrible result for Reform in Caerphilly. Trounced by 4,000 votes. Working class Wales kicked Reform all the way from the Rhymny Valley to the sea. Reform threw Farage, Tice and all its top people at Caerphilly and spent a ton of money and were hammered.

August 1989 I started as a Doctor in the #NHS

A lot has changed in that time

It isn’t easier, more treatments/options, more complex care

The GP role is more difficult now than it ever was

The past 4yrs I’ve tried highlight the data - started with this video👇🏻

We all need GPs

Though Starmer has done good things, he is hammered by the right wing media,

But one thing Starmer deserves to be hammered for is his privatisation of the NHS

The public has never agreed to it

And all evidence is that it is:

1) more expensive for taxpayers, and
2) has worse outcomes for patients

There are shortages of GPs because Government & NHS England has failed to fund GP practices to retain, employ or increase their capacity

A cut in funding by 20% £/patient in the last 10yr & investing in other roles instead & now have unemployed GPs who are unable to get work

Simply fund practices!

Asters are still doing well here in the UK and, as you say, the bees are loving them 🌱🐝
Fall is here and the nights are getting cold. And while pollinators are preparing for winter, having some late flowers can help them survive the cold. Here in western WA, our native Douglas asters still have some flowers. I'm slowly planting more for late season flowers to support our pollinators. 🌱
