I can't think of a better example of the fallacy of neutrality. If you're not against people being kidnapped then you're for it. Imagine the trolley problem and somebody saying "I wish to remain objective so I'm just gonna look away." That's the same as actively choosing to not throw the switch.
Got turned down on a piece about ICE in Chicago for an international news org because they believed I couldn’t be objective about my neighbors getting kidnapped. And well, guilty as charged I guess.
