Demonize the time change to DST in March! I know time changes affect all of us in different ways. Standard Time (the one we fell back to this morning) is actually safer & better for everyone.

Whenever people complain about the number of folks relying on food stamps, it is worth reminding them that SNAP is, by too large of a degree, a subsidy for corporations that refuse to pay a living wage and their political allies who reject public policy prescriptions to reduce income inequality.

Food banks & other forms of community aid will feel the stress caused by these cuts. There will undoubtedly be understaffing and shortages, this is one way we can prepare for this

In the Samaria Gorge on the island of Crete, Greece, lies a very deep cave with a continual cold spring waterfall. To reach it, you have to swim about 100 meters in 10 degree (C) water. I spent time thinking about hypothermia I was so cold. Nice payoff tho.
