As much as I'm "used to" getting the most horrendous news on a daily basis, I still can't ever get USED TO this. And we shouldn't. This is all wrong and if we don't fight it every day with everything inside of us then we will lose. Keep fighting. This is not normal or okay.

Was an interesting weekend to finish this book to say the least, but wanted to recommend MARTYR! to anyone who hasn’t read it. Just astoundingly beautiful prose (you can tell the author is a poet), with so much to say about the stories we tell about ourselves and others.
