I just talk about my life, and offer respite from well deserved anger.
Arcadia by Tom Stoppard is my favorite play ever.

Book ?: For a liberal arts major, I'm somehow deeply interested in geology. This was an excellent story. #bookaweek #geology #ifrockscouldtalk

"Although I can still feel the sting of humiliation, being told early on that I was not a pretty ornament spared me from years of pinning my self-worth to external standards of beauty. " Ahh, yes. The gift of being a plain, if not actually ugly, girl. "Turning to Stone: the Subtle Wisdom of Rocks".

The day I put together how QAM worked in Wi-Fi, and what it meant for data rates, was the day that convinced me that Wi-Fi is akin to messing with an elder god's rituals.

None of this shit should work at all, but it does, and that feels like a devil's bargain was struck.

This time of year I deeply regret that there was no overlap between me desperately wanting the things in the Signals and Wireless gift catalogs, those fine publications showing up in the mail, and being able to afford them. #npr

Honestly, I'm sort of proud of myself for the kind of slop FB targets me with. It's usually about kindness, dignity and caring about others. It's also AI slop targeted at my dopamine receptors, but I'm glad that's what makes them fire.

If it's worth doing, it's worth overdoing. I've got a brand new Christmas fountain pen, a hand selected ink, matching sealing wax pellets and a new wax heater, 150 custom designed cards, and just about a month to get them all in the mail with addresses and notes all done by hand. It's #cardseason

I pulled out the old Stampin' Up stamps for some Thanksgiving postcards. These stamps hit differently now than they did in 2002 (although I didn't use most of them then either). #Thanksgiving #stamps #watercolors

I'm a technology professional with a quarter century of experience. Currently my gaming laptop, which u haven't touched in 3 years, thinks my Microsoft account is a child's. Also a family admin. My Nvidia driver download keeps silently failing. And I guess I have to update to Windows 11.

Dear Bluesky, I really like epistolary novels like Daddy Longlegs, Anne of the Island or This Is How You Lose the Time War. Do you have any recommendations?

Book 60: digital book in front of the fire. I deeply love Bujold. The last few years of her writing feel like someone tidying the worlds of her creation and indulging in favorites before her next adventure. #bookaweek app.thestorygraph.com/books/22f5d3...

I have read all of these (including Black Dogs) and own as many as possible in physical form. I do think Jackalope Wives stands out from the crowd and would love a copy of the Orcs book. My son loves Orcus and really wants a map.
And that's it for Ursula Vernon/ @tkingfisher.com's currently published books of fiction! I believe there are at least two new books (Wolf Worm and Daggerbound) scheduled to come out next year (plus the Nine Goblins reprint, and maybe the next Paladin book)
