This cuts to the heart of it. Trump trashed the export economy for US agribusiness. This isn’t making farmers rich and it sure as hell ain’t making them whole.
There are approximately 500K Soybean farmers. They are the ones getting the $12B. That comes out to $24K per farm if divided equally.
Soybeans cost between $600 and $900 per acre to grow. Only the tiniest farms would even cover costs.
And there are VERY few soybean farms that tiny, if any.

This whole “dress up” to fly schtick feels like a thinly veiled message that ”if you’re poor - don’t fly.” just gross
it’s pretty funny that Duffy is simultaneously
1. scolding passengers for not wearing fancy clothes while flying
2. supporting airport gyms so passengers can be sweaty and gross while flying
