If anybody missed secretary of ag Rollin’s op-ed this morning don’t worry I summarized it below. #altgov #USDA
December 18, 2025 at 1:34 PM
“… Congress had allocated $6 million in the 2026 budget for renovation and construction at BARC.”
That’s in the PL that ended the #shitdown. But BARC isn’t safe. “… no indication that USDA has canceled its plan to vacate the facility.”

Waiting until halfway through the day of internment of fallen guardsman Sarah Beckstrom to order flags at half staff, until sunset of the day of internment, whose death only happened because she was used as a pawn in a fabricated political show.

(2/2) this crushing blow does not mean I’m giving the fuck up though. I am steeled and here till the end! Fuck these Darwin deserving grifting disease giving ass kissing shit holes.

Found a chart of who the FDA has lost.

The last Secretary of Agriculture would have given us two to four hours of admin leave to spend time with our families. Cheerleader lawyer just lectured us about how the pilgrims and Indians were nice to each other with “gratitude towards a loving God.” Thanks Brooke for the boomer history lesson.

Birds are migrating! If you see sick or dead animals, contact your State’s Department of Natural Resources ASAP! USDA is shut down. My own city neighborhood suffered a mass casualty event of a dozen geese, ducks and swans that hung out at the park ponds suddenly die of H5N1 & your pets are at risk!
"Bird flu," encaustic with postcards on linen.
From Your Local Epidemiologist
"USDA has seen an uptick in H5N1 detections in backyard flocks, commercial flocks, and wild birds. More than 4.4 million birds have been sick in the past month."

Don’t forget: if you do collect unemployment during furlough and later receive your federal back pay for the furlough period, you will have to pay back the unemployment payments.

Thanks Brooke for your heartless bootlicking leadership. While I was sitting here not allowed to work waiting for directions I was hoping someone would give me one more lecture about how Trump is our dear leader and everything is the democrats fault. #usda #altgov

If I was paranoid about a deep state an enemy within I wouldn’t get up in front of a room full of top military brass and call them a bunch of fatties who need to shave. Just sayin’

First we have the election.

Then, we had funding removed. Grants, loans, regular appropriations.

Then we had the fork emails and the deffered resignations that took talented folks because they were afraid.

Then, they threatened to use Reduction in Force to threaten to fire us.

This shutdown is another opportunity for the White House to cause other humans to suffer, an opportunity he’s never passed on before. The truth is we are going to get screwed over one way or another.

I need to be honest, in this dystopian reality… I was shook at the idea of employees being terminated if (when) there is a government shutdown.

Vought is trash… and has openly said trauma (to federal employees) is the point.

I am surprised I was surprised.

Maryland officials at the local, state, and federal levels are pushing back on BARC’s removal. They held a press conference yesterday in front of the NAL.

It’s to come to work seeing the flag at half mast then see the solemn notice from dear leader that they will be flown at half mast not for the innocent teens who were shot in Colorado yesterday, not for the anniversary of 9/11 which used to be the right’s number one battle cry, but for (1/2)

I’m sorry I missed announcing the public comment period for the Sect of Ag’s reorg plans. This account is one person in one corner of BARC and the fact I didn’t hear about until it already closed shows this administration has no serious interest in the public input part of American governance.

The Greenbelt City Council issued a public comment on the closing of BARC. The Greenbelt News Review summarized it on page 7. The council reminded the Sect of Ag that “BARC is not an office building” but “specialized labs, greenhouses, experimental fields and infrastructure developed over decades.”
