- Trump saw Mamdani’s meteoric rise. He beat everyone, including him and the oligarchs.
- Mamdani ran on affordability and fighting for the working class.
- Trump doesn’t care about either but he wants to be seen as such.
- Embracing Mamdani is his way of co-opting these issues.

These are not violent criminals. Of 614 arrested last week in Chicago only 2.6% (16) were violent criminals.
