I’ve dedicated my life to protecting democracy & fighting for freedom. It’s why we stood up to Putin and why I spoke out against Trump.

My next mission: fighting for what’s right here at home. I’m running for #MI07 because it's time to put Michigan families first and fight back.
This Veteran’s Day I'm thinking of my grandfather. He left his wife & newborn baby (my mom) here in Lansing to fight fascism in WW2.

Today & every day, thank you to all veterans who have served our country & sacrificed so much to defend our nation. We are eternally grateful. 🇺🇸

Grateful to spend time with Women's Center of Greater Lansing, and hear how federal cuts and the #BigUglyBill threaten healthcare and essential services to women in MI07. I'm inspired by their tireless work and more committed than ever to fight for opportunity for everyone in our community.

For me, health care is personal. We want the govt open, but this is a bad deal for MI07. DC Republicans slashed Medicaid & refused to extend ACA tax credits. Healthcare premiums are skyrocketing. It has to stop.

I'm proud both our Senators @peters.senate.gov & @elissaslotkin.bsky.social voted No.

Thanks to CD7 Dems, last night I heard heartbreaking stories of how Barrett’s votes hurt our community—firing public servants, closing nonprofits, and losing markets for our farmers. We need leaders in Congress who’ll stand up to Trump and fight for #MI07.

Fired up after an amazing night with the Blue Brigade in Lansing! Their energy fuels our fight to lower costs for mid-Michigan families, protect our hard-earned benefits, and defend our rights & freedoms. Thank you for a great night!

The big wins by @abigailspanberger.com and @mikiesherrill.bsky.social show clearly that women with national security experience win. I’m ready to build on our momentum, win MI07, and take back the House.

Huge congratulations to Mayor Andy and our new City Council members here in Lansing!
November 5, 2025 at 9:21 PM
A new poll shows me beating Tom Barrett 45% to 41% with the highest vote percentage of any other Democratic candidate!

It's clear: we have momentum on our side & MI07 voters want a Representative who has a proven record of delivering results.

From fighting for freedom abroad to fighting for families in mid-Michigan — leadership means stepping up when lives are on the line. That’s why I’m running for Congress in #MI07. Thanks to MSU alum Amanda Sloat and Nathalie Tocci.

Funds are available to provide full nutritional benefits, but the Trump Admin is choosing not to spend it. Tens of thousands of our MI07 neighbors will receive half of their usual assistance.
This isn't about politics. This is about food & human decency.

Trump administration will provide only half of usual food stamp benefits in November | CNN Politics
The Trump administration said today that it will provide partial food stamp benefits for November by tapping into the program’s contingency fund amid the ongoing government shutdown.

1. USDA had a plan to protect food benefits
2. Trump ordered them NOT to use it
3. 63k+ of our neighbors in Greater Lansing will be w/o food benefits starting Saturday

I’m running for Congress to put the people of MI07 first.

Food need expected to grow if SNAP money ends for 63,000 Lansing area residents
Even before SNAP benefits paused, pantries within the Greater Lansing Food Banks network were seeing consistent increases in usage.

Great night yesterday speaking w/ the Michigan State University College Democrats about how a kid from Michigan became a 2x Ambassador & why I resigned to stand up to Trump’s wrong & unjust policies. These Spartans are our future & I’m running for Congress so they have the same opportunities I had.

Thank you Rep. Tsernoglou for putting on a fantastic event Monday evening! It was great to see so many friends & neighbors. It's clear: MI07 wants a Rep in Congress who will fight for lower prices, affordable healthcare, & our democracy.

"As we commemorate Breast Cancer Awareness month, I share my story in hopes that you and your loved ones get your annual screening and join our fight for a future where every Michigander has access to quality, affordable health care so that every woman can say: I beat cancer."
Brink: The fight for quality, affordable health care is personal
Nearly 10,000 Michigan women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. Over the summer, I learned that number would include me.

I’m 1 in 8 women who will hear “You have breast cancer.” Thanks to health care, mine was caught early & I'm now cancer-free. But w/o insurance, surgery would have cost $100K out-of-pocket. Affordable health care is a matter of life & death. We must extend the ACA subsidies now.

On MSNBC with Alex Witt: "We need principled people in Washington to stand up and do what's right... I want to go to Washington and fight for the people of my district, but also our state and our country."

Yesterday, we cast our early votes for our terrific Mayor
@andyschor.bsky.social. And today we were knocking doors in Mulliken for small business owner Rob Piercefield to take a majority-making seat on Eaton’s County Commission. Get out and cast your ballots before or on 11/4!

Today the inflation rate is the highest since January. This is a direct result of Trump’s reckless tariffs which we can feel right here in MI-07.

We need leaders who have shown they will stand up for the people they serve - no matter the political consequences.

I am deeply honored to receive former State Representative Joan Bauer’s endorsement. She is a legend who has done so much for our city and our state. I am proud to call her a friend and mentor, and having her endorsement means the world to me.

The Eaton County Democrats brought the energy last night! MI07 deserves a leader in Congress who has a proven record of standing up for what’s right no matter what. We need lower costs, affordable healthcare & principled leadership — now.

Fifteen years ago, I had the incredible honor of serving as a Director on President Obama's National Security Council.

Now, I’m running for Congress to ensure that we uphold & expand the life-saving impacts of the Affordable Care Act he championed.

So profoundly grateful for the outpouring of grassroots support our campaign has received: in just 105 days we have raised $1.1 million with $738K cash on hand!

Both nearly double any other Democrat in the race. We are fired up to flip MI07 & deliver for mid-Michigan!

Why are soybeans in the news?

- China was the #1 buyer of U.S. soybeans
- B/c of tariffs, China stopped buying U.S. soybeans
- Our farmers can't find buyers for their harvests

Trump’s trade policy hurts mid-Michigan farmers. I will fight this in Congress.
