Republicans are finally back in DC after 54 days off while mid-Michiganders faced higher healthcare costs and lost food benefits. I’m calling on Tom Barrett to stand up to GOP leaders and extend ACA tax credits. MI07 needs a leader who puts families first, not party orders.

This Veteran’s Day I'm thinking of my grandfather. He left his wife & newborn baby (my mom) here in Lansing to fight fascism in WW2.

Grateful to spend time with Women's Center of Greater Lansing, and hear how federal cuts and the #BigUglyBill threaten healthcare and essential services to women in MI07. I'm inspired by their tireless work and more committed than ever to fight for opportunity for everyone in our community.

For me, health care is personal. We want the govt open, but this is a bad deal for MI07. DC Republicans slashed Medicaid & refused to extend ACA tax credits. Healthcare premiums are skyrocketing. It has to stop.

Today the inflation rate is the highest since January. This is a direct result of Trump’s reckless tariffs which we can feel right here in MI-07.
