Day off reading! Loving it so far - perfect book to transition from Halloween to Christmas with (yes my Christmas decorations went up today, no I am not taking commentary)
November wrap up! A non fiction heavy month which is on the unusual side for me. Still, really enjoyed it, and several of my November books are probs gonna make my 2025 top 10 list. #storygraph

BREAKING: This is huge news, the EU's equivalent of the 🇺🇸Supreme Court's 2015 Obergefell v. Hodges ruling.

🇪🇺Court of Justice just ruled all 🇪🇺countries must recognise same-sex marriages granted in other member states.

This effectively legalises gay marriage across 🇪🇺

‘I found I’m far harder on books now. I expect more, and I know it can be achieved because I’ve just read 153 books and a lot of them were great’

Sarah Jessica Parker’s Year of Judging the Booker Prize
The actor had to read so many books (153) she bowed out of most family activities. Still, she said, collaborating to pick a winner was worth the sacrifice.

But if the government start taxing the likes of Starbucks & they leave, Are we seriously saying that Britain will stop drinking coffee?

£3 billion in UK sales & they don't want to pay tax?

It's time to get of the merry-go-round & use our smaller, local retailers who will pay their taxes.

Annual leave proof stack! Very excited for all of these, which arrived last week whilst I was away (why do the proofs always arrive when I'm away?). Not pictured: the face by fay bound-alberti (ty @penguinhuddleuk.bsky.social) which was immediately stolen by a colleague.

Morning 🦋
My 'rain chain' got to experience it's first wet night last night ⛈️
I have mixed feelings, it was supposed to be attached to the shed for this milestone. Sadly, I couldn't, because the wood for the frame didn't come on Friday 😔
Anyway, today's a new day. Got new things to do.
Happy Sunday
