The 100K price tag is such a deeply insulting gesture.

The point of H1B is to retain exceptional talent, but this administration wants to privilege the wealthy, not enrich the talent pool of the nation.

In the days after the Boston Marathon bombing, I remember breaking down when I heard one of the local NPR hosts redirect an attempt to other the Tsarnaev brothers, and he said “no, these were Boston kids”.

His moral leadership to say “sure, this was one of us” bc it is necessarily to heal. 1/n

He illegally closed investigations into his businesses, illegally fired regulators, illegally had the state dept pressure countries into allowing starlink, and illegally got huge new no-bid govt contracts.

Why are we talking about this like he took some time off to renovate his kitchen?
Elon Musk used to be a political force on X. Now he’s back to business.

The shift mirrors Musk’s effort to revive his companies, which suffered reputational damage and, in Tesla’s case, steep declines in stock price.

UPDATE: We have data on >1000 terminated #NSF grants at grant-watch.us. Thanks to all who have been contributing data the past few days.

We've also added a "Reports" section with some analyses. For NSF, we see that the STEM education directorate has been absolutely pummeled.

See, the thing about a warrant is it should be for the right people, not the address.

Also, forcing minor females into the yard in their underwear and stealing the families’ cash is…pretty fcking awful.

This is Marco Rubio explaining how the USA promised to defend Ukraine forever if they got rid of their nuclear arsenal left after the Soviet Union fell.

This is why lil marco was sinking into the couch. He was hoping we wouldn’t find it…so don’t RT right now this very second.

If you've never been part of a government procurement process, it might be hard to understand just how much of a "go to prison" thing this would have been at any point from 1946-2024.
This sort of comic book corruption is quite literally illegal in every single country in the world that has written laws. I don't even know what else you say about this, it's amazing

We asked Senate Republicans: is there any millionaire or billionaire rich enough who doesn't need another tax giveaway?

$10M a year? No.
$100M a year? No.
$500M a year? No.
$1 BILLION a year? No.

With Republicans in control: Billionaires win, families lose.

Speaking as someone from a country where the state owns the media, I really do feel like I know what I’m talking about when I say we have not hit rock bottom. A lot of ppl can’t seem to imagine anything worse than our current media ecosystem but it’s still alive.
