My personal "binge drinking" is interacting with toxic content online. Whenever I feel bad (especially when sick) I just can't resist watching "this thing sucks" videos, reading "haha they're so stupid" stories, and above all else arguing with strangers in comments. And I *always* feel worse after.

one of the classic japanese game hobbiests, Kenta Cho recently tied together 111 of his single-button games into an old-school wario-ware you can play on your phone (he's been making tiny free games since the 80s)

So I made the smallest game I could.

This is sapito, a tiny daily classic roguelike, with a new level every day. Super simple, but finished! My plan is to keep updating it over time.

I feel like just studying changes between Hollow Knight and Silksong can make you a better game designer. The way a couple of small changes completely alter the gameplay flow and focus points is mesmerizing.

If I ever have enough money I'd love to develop and try to sell (in very-very small quantities) a hardware device. I've always loved fiddling with software, but hardware feels like "they made software into a real thing"

Reacting to posts/messages with whatever emoji is perfect UI, no notes. People didn't know back then, but all those hundreds of emojis were created just for this, for tiny reactions under the message. And it should be everywhere. Why is there only a like on bluesky still?

Conspiracy theory: Apple's Liquid (gl)ass is this complex for many reasons and it's very intentional, but one of the reasons is how you basically can't reproduce it in CSS. If you want the native look, you can't use Electron and are basically forced to develop native apps.
