When I am quick to blame planners and engineers when people die on our streets, this is why.
What is this sad excuse for “pedestrian” infrastructure?

These are taken at the 4 corners of Due West Road and Mars Hill in West Cobb.

What a joke.

"Their retreat from renewables isn’t a setback for energy evolution, it’s the opposite; it’s foreshadowing that the future of energy is being built around them, not by them.

The transformation of energy does not need oil companies to lead; it needs them to phase down while new industries phase up."

This is huge. Having bike parking be front and center has 2 benefits:

1. Visible so it’s less likely someone steals it

2. Daily reminders of having a different option than driving.
I park my e-cargo bike right in front of the office on the sidewalk every day, and part of the point is to get my colleagues asking me about it.
One benefit of going into an office occasionally again is more opportunities for discussing cargo bikes and kids with people interested, since I either bike or walk to work.

So fun to show people the possibilities!

Does anyone know where to get conclave insider updates like it’s spring practice or recruiting in college football?

Congrats to everyone involved in this election! We now have 4 more years of a Democratic-led Cobb County! Let’s continue moving Cobb County forward!
Cobb County isn’t a bellwether, but its shifts from suburban GOP bastion to Democratic stronghold over the past decade have helped reshape Georgia’s political landscape. And Tuesday’s special election gave Democrats plenty of reason to cheer. #gapol

Cobb County stays blue as Democrats maintain county commission majority
Democrats won two special elections on Tuesday, continuing the county's blue streak that began with the 2016 presidential election.

Cobb county is proposing to cut transit service and this is the schedule for public comment.

What a joke…

Love starting my Monday mornings watching the Amtrak train chug along through Austell, GA.

“Study links bus stops to most pedestrian crashes” might be the dumbest strawman chyron I’ve ever seen.

Is the Connections game on NYT getting harder or am I just getting dumber?

In Georgia, the state legislature is trying to completely ban camera enforcement of speeding.

Right now, they are only allowed in school zones.

We’d rather prioritize unsafe driving than the safety of our kids.
Over 44,000 people die in the US each year from vehicular violence and yet we'll do anything not to hold reckless drivers accountable for their actions.

Not gonna lie. I miss the old Twitter days and community.

You don’t know what you have ‘til it’s gone.

Still kinda shocked at this guy who said we are in a “second Revolution” and threatened the Cobb County Commissioners with tar and feathering.

What is happening?!?

This picture shows over 200,000 Cobb residents not being represented because Republicans in the GA state legislature redistricted Cobb’s Commission Districts to draw Jerica Richardson out of the district she represents.

It’s a shame that it’s not a bigger story.

Is American Primeval the best show with the worst ending ever?

Yes. Yes it is.

February is the shortest month of the year. It means I’m setting a very simple, quick-to-achieve goal for the month.

I’m hoping to finalize the board for A Better Cobb.

What’s your easy to achieve goal for the month?

Working on my first research paper on communities that will focus on Book Clubs.

Are you in a book club? How does it add community to your life?

Cobb Schools: “We understand that it’s difficult for parents so we will be making a decision by 5PM”

530PM: “Wellllllll, we can’t make a decision yet. We’ll make a decision by 7PM”

Well I’m off twitter. I had been holding on because I didn’t want to give up that space and I wanted to continue observing but it became unusable during the last few events.

Kinda sad in a weird way.

Question regarding congestion tolls:

How much does the technology cost? At what point is it feasible for smaller cities or towns to consider it?

Starting at 6PM, you’ll be able to share and discuss your ideas on how to make Marietta better.

I just LOVE how transactional emails treat us like we’re stupid.

If you’re using these tactics to drive sales and succeed, you will fail in the long run.
