I thought the high today was 60° - that's what my phone said last night - well now it's near 70°, still going up, and I'm wearing a heavy flannel.

Not picking a side of the Summit bike lane, an already decided issue with lots of public engagement but with wealthy NIMBYs trying to hold it up, is why I can't get behind Her for St Paul mayor. www.startribune.com/summit-avenu...
Summit Avenue bike lane feud runs through St. Paul mayoral race
Neighborhood activists just sued Mayor Melvin Carter’s administration, while challenger Kaohly Her, who lives on Summit, won’t pick a side.

What is with this headline @politico.com ? "Sides with accuser?" Technically true, but the entire headline gives the impression it may not have been warranted.

The @nytimes.com is a bit better but still just calling her a "woman" as if she was just someone he ran across once is...not great.

Learned from @hcrichardson.bsky.social that Portland protestors at the ICE facility have been "ICE fishing" with donuts on fishing poles and that's actually really dang hilarious.

My husband and kids (4 and 2) got flu + COVID vaccinated at a Minute Clinic tonight (I got mine last week). The NP was amazing. Great with the kids, very patient when we were late due to flash floods and made sure it got covered by insurance.

@mischieftoy.com Do you guys have the Micro Mini scooter? I bought one from you a couple years ago and now that kid's brother wants his own, but not sure if you still have them.

Loved to see Pillars residents protesting Trump and immigration policies this morning at daycare dropoff.

My oldest asked why, I was like "our government is doing bad things." The fastest explanation for dropoff time.

Our neighborhood park has an edible garden maintained by the garden club. They encourage people to pick the fruit. It's lovely and so fun to hunt for the wild strawberries (we only found 3, there were far more cherries and red currants.)

These parents clamored to enroll their children in the Covid vaccine trials. But they say it'll be tough — and unethical — to enroll children in placebo trials again. And they feel betrayed that their sacrifices are now going ignored. My latest: www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025...

Somehow I doubt it was actually raw, because they're liars.

Promoting it is gross and irresponsible regardless.

I grew up on a dairy farm and drank raw milk. Just because I "was fine" doesn't mean it's a good idea for everyone else. We bring store milk when we visit the farm with the kids now.
To celebrate the release of his agency’s Make America Healthy Again report (which was full of misinformation and fake citations), RFK Jr downed a shot of raw milk. We are in the worst timeline.

I very much want Covid boosters and flu shots and and everything else that protects me from severe illness. It would be very strange to not want that.

Know anyone looking for a gorgeous Victorian in a great neighborhood?

No vested interest in this other than I like cool neighbors, but I watched this house get renovated from afar and it looks so lovely (the post reno neighbors seem to have made it rather moody inside, too).

A Chief AI Officer? Really?

I know companies are trying to put AI absolutely everywhere and I can see some good use cases in healthcare, but would not have thought of it being elevated to a C suite role.

Lovely, long bike ride to Eloise Butler Wildflower Garden this morning. First I've gotten to bike near the lakes. Felt like almost everyone was out, and even the beaches were relatively busy.

Comments (as always) kinda suck - and you certainly wouldn't see them if it were a mom in the ad, but I actually like this ad for Lectric.

One benefit of going into an office occasionally again is more opportunities for discussing cargo bikes and kids with people interested, since I either bike or walk to work.

So fun to show people the possibilities!

Even if it was "willing" it may not have actually been. They didn't seem to actually have a choice.
ICYMI: Trump, Stephen Miller, Homan are claiming it’s ok that they deported 🇺🇸 citizen kids, including one with cancer, because they say the moms brought them willingly — attorneys are disputing that.

...they realize many countries have travel advisories for the USA now, right???
