The federal leaders survived the French-language debate without major incident — for better or for worse.

The same can’t be said for the debate organizers, who absolutely shit the bed in an impressive number of ways.

That's why the scrums were a right-wing clown show.

Let’s talk about it all:

Really incredible to have CTV, an entire broadcast news outlet, say they 'don't have the bandwidth' to deal with the type of harassment that Rachel Gilmore deals with as an individual journalist all the time.
NEW: CTV cancelled a fact-checking segment in response to political pressure from Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives

An audio recording obtained by PressProgress shows CTV cancelled an ‘election misinformation’ segment with journalist Rachel Gilmore after online backlash from conservatives

So apparently Canada wasn’t mentioned in the just released U.S. Annual Threat Assessment “as a source of illicit fentanyl.”

AT ALL.

And yet Trump specifically cited fentanyl as THE LEGAL JUSTIFICATION for starting a trade war with Canada using tariffs by executive order.

Proof the EO is illegal.

Checking into getting more of tiles for upcoming bath renovation projects -- we used the same white handmade glas. mosaic tile in the kitchen and bathrooms -- only to find they went out of business in 2020. Covid?
Not the biggest problem in the world, but gutted. Loved them for decades.

And it will decline fast as stories of innocent visitors from “allied” countries being detained & physically abused.

He's been an MP for 20 years, and he doesn't know the first thing about how to get things done.
If he doesn't consult with First Nations, all of this is dead in the water.
"Shovel ready zones"? Without Indigenous consultation? Not happening. If he had any sense, he'd have paired that promise with a commitment to come to comprehensive deals with individual First Nations to create said zones... that's an actually doable thing.

Pierre Poilievre wants ‘shovel ready zones’ with preapproved construction permits
The Conservative Leader says that the goal is to permits in place for a mine, liquefied natural gas plant, pipeline or other major project

The stock prices of America's largest private prison and detention center operators have skyrocketed since Trump's victory.

Why?

Because the border-industrial complex stands to profit handsomely from Trump's anti-immigrant agenda.
The Truth About the U.S. Border | Robert Reich
The full story about immigration you aren't getting from politicians and the media. Watch More: The Military-Industrial Drain ►► https://youtu.be/OnR84h7t5kI A desperate combination of factors are driving migrants and asylum seekers to our southern border, from Central America in particular: deep economic inequality, corruption, and high rates of poverty, as well as violence and instability tied to historic U.S. support for brutal authoritarian regimes, right-wing paramilitary groups, and corporate interests in Latin America. In other words, the United States is very much part of the root of this problem. Some politicians want you to believe the way to address this humanitarian tragedy is to double down on border security and build walls to deter people from coming. They’re wrong. Several administrations have tried this approach. It's failed every time. Our bloated spending on the border-industrial complex has done nothing but increase human suffering without dealing with the root causes of...
