I think that adoptees are the only people who are entitled to dna tests to find their family.
There was an article in WSJ several years ago that suggested adoptees doing DNA tests was unethical, for the usual bs "you could disrupt innocent peoples' lives!" reasons.

Someone was talking about the fact that kids don’t know phonics which leads to a lack of comprehension.
Reading comprehension is something that simply isnt taught/impressed on students anymore and I think that ties into the broader lack of media literacy that our country also suffers from
One hard part of the literacy problem in the United States is there are a lot of people -- some of them with college degrees and beyond -- who don't realize that they are bad at reading

I was asked without judgment if I felt like showing up for family and friends was a burden.
And no. It’s a privilege even though I have been treated as a burden my whole life.
I’m happy to host and foster fellowship. To lean in. To pass down recipes and memories.
