2. With the GOP controlling Congress, courts are key to protecting democracy.
3. So far, courts are doing a good job on #2.
4. GOP will next attack election rules like they did in 2021.

NEW: DOJ files a notice of correction indicating that (1) it underestimated the number of USAID employees placed on leave; and (2) misstated that only future contracts were being frozen, when existing contracts were frozen as well.

The Republicans are going to pass a bill that requires us to show a passport to register to vote. Those of us who changed our names, we will need copies of our birth certificates and wedding licenses. Don't delay getting a hold of these documents and getting a passport.
