An insanely frustrating thing about nice old architectural structures with steps and grand entrances (museums, government buildings) so when the beautifully designed entry is never used as such and people have to scurry through some side door. It’s so insulting to the architectural vision.

But if the East Wing were taken apart slowly, piece by piece, and you one day replace it, is it still the East Wing? What if the original parts were preserved elsewhere and reassembled, which would be the true East Wing?

Golden is such a well-written pop song because my 2.5 year old girl instinctually reacts with glee to it. She fully feels the pre-chorus tension and the chorus release and starts clapping and bopping.

I just fully debugged a carpet washer vac using the companies AI help assistant and was able to fix the jammed roller without initially knowing what was wrong. So… yeah. A lot logic flow customer service help jobs are gonna go away.

Letters to the editor made a great point about the Post's reporting on V.A. disability fraud: it is sensational, and it erodes trust of the system and millions of veterans, like me, who honestly claim benefits.

Ever find a feature layer on ESRI you cannot download? Well, there is a geojson export end around using the url endpoint where you can have it report it to you as a raw data, then effectively use that data to bring the layers into R. So cool! (esp for a lot of fed gov data that is being greyed out)

When you think of a lot of the services that the rich pay for, especially for dumb things like "sorority consultants", you find there are two things they pay through the nose for: to buy time (buy themselves out of burden), and to buy certainty so as to live with less uncertainty that others do.
