I don't necessarily feel like Meckler is an elite player but I think his bat is a major league bat. The fact that he was put on the 40 man for what 2 games in 2023 is still mind boggling. Huge mistake that essentially sends this guy to another club if they want him.

Final project was Due Wednesday by Midnight, student didn't turn in project, I emailed student, parent, and counselors letting them know if I didn't get the project by midnight Thursday It would be a 0 and they would fail the class. Comes in Friday to ask if they can turn it in on Tuesday!!!

What are the odds that Roupp and Ray combine for less than 100 innings next season? It feels like not that impossible with their injuries issues, which means you're making up 200 innings with guys Like Seymour, Tidwell, Wisenhunt...like this is scary if they don't at least sign a Giolito type.

If Meccage and Anderson are like 100% confident they can get 2mph on Wisenhunt's fastball and can get Birdsong to lower his walk rate by like 5% then I guess I can Squint and see a decent rotation if everyone stays healthy.

Minasian doesn't really lie, i feel like they are trying to trade for a starter but they aren't biting and so He has to basically waffle on "Trying to add another arm" I also think if they can't get Peralta, Bubic, they will sign Giolito.

Minasian said the fifth spot in the rotation could be filled internally or externally.
He added that the Giants will continue to look externally for another starter, but doesn't necessarily think the Giants need to add someone from outside the org.

My theory for what it's worth is the Giants offered Suarez, King, Gallen something like 50 for 2 or 75 for 3. But when they got that big bonus pool they decided they didn't want to sign QO guys and have pivoted to Giolito or a trade.

My fear is that the Giants DFA'd Weimer because they couldn't find a trade for Matos and didn't want to DFA Matos for nothing like they did Luciano for fear of public backlash and are now going to platoon Matos and Gilbert next season and watch Matos again not have platoon splits.

They'll all be on pitch limits but WOW this is the pitching staff to win it all. it's been pathetic the last couple years who ends up pitching for team USA. Now they are rolling out the big guns. Team USA is the team to beat.

If Houser gives the Giants what he did last year that's the same WAR as Robby Ray. If they get what he's projected, that's the same WAR as Landon Roupp. I'd really like them to get 1 more guy who can give them closer to 3 WAR

One thing to keep in mind when you're thinking about teams free agency moves. Don't look at the 26 tax space. Look at the tax space in 27. Most noise says there will likely be a hard cap and a floor. Hopefully a hard floor. Only team over the tax in 27 in the Dodgers.

I would do this in a heart beat and honestly think this would be a good trade for the Brewers too. Though I think I like Cohen more than Davidson or Jordan.
