Formerly Wilhelm Von Stupid, I am a teacher, Podcast listener, genuinely want an inclusive Democratic party that can also win national elections. Scared for my Gay, Trans, LGBTQ+ and non status immigrant students.
Wiemer is super interesting because his numbers against lefties are actually good, in a small sample size last year he was above average offensively against them and has been good for his career. Platoon Right fielder?

To go back to what @rog61.bsky.social and Crowley were talking about on the last KROG Degrom has a -13.5 value which would match about what the Giants would be willing to take on. I doubt the Giants would trade Tidwell, but I could see whitman and one of the San Jose 4 being part of a deal.

This is interesting and makes me think 1, they need to get younger in the field by 2029, and 2 they need at least 1 more long term starting pitcher.
November 19, 2025 at 7:36 PM
I don't know if this would get the job done I think they probably want either Level or Gonzalez over Davidson. I imagine it would be McDonald, Gonzalez and 1 of the San Jose 4.
November 18, 2025 at 10:08 PM
If this actually gets your Kwan the Giants should just do it.
November 18, 2025 at 5:47 PM
I am shocked if Matos has this kind of trade value but I'd do this all day If I'm the Giants. This Also is about the same Value as Mitch Keller so i'd do that too
November 14, 2025 at 12:03 AM
I think the Giants would do this I don't think the A's would do this. But this would have to be followed up by a big pitching signing.

Something like this makes sense imo
November 5, 2025 at 7:43 PM
Not a fan of Either Squad but this would work for the Twins. They could then spin Yoshida and cash to a team desperate for an outfielder. Someone who misses out on Tucker.

@dannyheifetz.bsky.social @dannybkelly.bsky.social @craighorlbeck.bsky.social Listening to the pod. #1 Ohtani is a great player and he's the greatest hitter since Bonds. But #2 to say Ohtani is the greatest ever is missing just how dominant bonds was.

Also This is filtered for Centerfielders against Lefthanded pitching OBP

For context from 2021- 2025 here are the top 16 Pitchers in WAR. These are the consistent guys

You can get Lopez and Alcantara for sooooo much less and Cease and Valdez are free agents.
October 10, 2025 at 8:36 PM
If you take Eldridge and Buxton off of this list, and swap out everyone but Wisenhunt with other A- and ACL guys I think the deal is plausible. Joe Ryan for Wisenhunt, Level, Gonzalez, and De La Torre could get it done.
October 8, 2025 at 6:04 PM
I'd do this in a heart beat. Especially if we could just get them to throw in Sonny Gray

Either the Niners have played a murderers row of good run defenses or, the Niners are so bad at running the ball that every team they play looks like a good run defense.
September 29, 2025 at 5:29 PM
People are acting like Mac had this amazing game, but if you were to grade him play by play he was off target horribly at time and on the last few drives gave the Saints a ton of chances by holding the ball wayyy too long.
September 15, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Niners borderline dominated the game but missed 2 FGs and threw 2int should have won by 21pts and if healthy and offense in mid season form they will win by more next time

So 93.6% of real life trades match their model. So I think it’s pretty similar to the models most teams use. The biggest outliers are when it comes to trading “underwater” contracts.

Insanely streaky guy that just never turned into a professional hitter. Look at his splits in July he was horrifically bad when the team needed to win to stay in the race ..
August 3, 2025 at 7:16 PM
When the season is on the line who was hitting? Bye Wilmer Yaz and Schmitt
July 30, 2025 at 10:34 PM
This is why you don’t “buy” the team was in the midst of a collapse when they made the trade they hoped he’d hit enough to stop it. It didn’t.
July 29, 2025 at 10:32 PM
Looking at Alcantara’s monthly splits his FIP has gone down every month, I think whoever gets him is getting the prize of the trade deadline. He will cost significantly less than Kelly or Keller and has a chance to be elite over the bulk of his contract.
