Working on a post about AI Image generation, and wanted to test one prompt with several tools.

Help me pick from the options in the threads. Vote 1, 2 or 3 from the 🧵!

I was trying out some prompts for my upcoming article about AI image generation. I got these while trying to test if DALL-E can do an img2img prompt. These make me really happy for a reason I can’t find words for.

Hope this brings a bit of magic to your day.

So if I move to Canada, I get better healthcare, a sane(r) govt and I won’t have to pay tariffs?

It’s like they’re trying to make people leave.

If you're stuck, walk away.

Don't sleep for 24 hours, and then give yourself 30 minutes to solve it.

You will likely succeed, with 10 minutes to spare.

You're too exhausted to think in multiple threads. Which means you're too tired to have self doubt.

But it works.

It’s wild the difference I feel when I drink water consistently all day vs when I don’t.

I have a favorite meeting take-notes tool -> Granola.

It doesn't do the annoying bot that joins your meeting, and augments your notes. Great interaction pattern and UI. Now it just needs an Obsidian integration.

Within the Earth's flatness, points and polygons dance. Sometimes a point inside a polygon. Sometimes outside.

A point is a playground. A restaurant.

A polygon is a zip code. A city.

They dance, they gossip.

"Sam's house is in a food desert"

The spatial join is the music.

I feel such an innate sense of joy when I make a map. It's a way of taking something as big as the entirety of the world - thousands of square miles of space, and shrinking it into a top-down birds-eye view. It's a combination of something powerful and yet simple at the same time

We are susceptible to bad decisions when we're tired. We make dumb choices when we're burned out. We say regretful things when we are angry.

Rest lets us be ready for the hard things coming our way. It lets us stand up to the chaos and say "Bring it on".

Rest is how we resist the bullshit.

Yup
How to waste five productive hours in the middle of the day:

1. Coffee
2. Pace the floor
3. Make and eat large Mediterranean salad
4. More floor pacing
5. More coffee
6. Scroll social media
7. I wonder what’s on the news?
8. I should post this.

Great work does not speak for itself. Neither does this essay. It took me about 3 weeks to get it where I wanted it, and I'm very happy with it.

Check it out if you're interested in tips on how to become a self-promoting d-bag.
