There are a lot of things to dunk on with this post. But, if you think using an LLM is the way to deal with a json file (json is a ubiquitous, highly structured format for data storage), you are a bad, inexperienced coder. And, you definitely shouldn't be rewriting the US Treasury codebase.

Yup.
I’ve been referring to this time as a New Dark Age.
Back during the pandemic we had this thing we never really talked about in which when someone asked how we were doing, we all just prefaced our answer with some variant of "Well, aside from...all this..."

I've noticed over the last few weeks that we're all doing that again.

I linked DOGE staffer Marko Elez to a deleted X account that advocated repealing the Civil Rights Act, backed a “eugenic immigration policy,” and wrote, “You could not pay me to marry outside of my ethnicity."

He just resigned. www.wsj.com/tech/doge-st...

Hollywood is not some monoculture dictating what audiences can and cannot watch. Hollywood gives you what you're willing to pay for. So if you want big, fun, gory slasher movies, take a friend or a date out this weekend and see this big, fun, gory (also romantic) slasher movie. It's how we get more.

Palantir's stock soared this week as its CEO cheerfully screamed "we're doin' it" on an investor call—clarifying that "it" includes "on occasion" killing people.

They’ve called armed federal officers to the scene. We aren’t dangerous. We are here to represent our people. To defend public education. This is an authoritarian regime. You cannot block members of Congress from entering the Department of Education.

FYI all of the viral images government spending that “DOGE HAS UNCOVERED” is actually from www.usaspending.gov a website that Obama signed into law in 2014 that has always been accessible to the public.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.

Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Not all of us get to live out our dreams or reach the goals we've worked so hard for, but every day life is going to give you the chance to BE the person you've always dreamed of being - brave, kind, noble, just, empathetic, heroic. That's something neither life nor circumstance can ever deny you.

It is 100% their fault for not retiring 20 fucking years ago or passing any regulation of the tech billionaires that they inflated through tax policies.
Something that I think we can all agree on is that the current generation of Democratic leadership is simply not optimized for the Attention Age. Not really their fault! And honestly, they may be better people for it, but it's a pretty pressing political problem.

If you are a federal worker being offered a buyout, I would advise against taking it.

Of course, this is a personal decision for everyone and it’s your choice.

But these offers are a rush job. The legality is questionable and this admin does not keep to its word.

They aren’t firing for a reason.
