Protected bike lanes have a near-magical ability to produce cyclists.
This new study of 28 US cities finds that census block groups w/protected bike lanes expanded bike commuting almost 2x faster than those w/standard bike lanes & >4x faster than those w/o new lanes.

These intersections in Florence are a perfect example of why transit priority is also, or even primarily, a problem of street design rather than technology.
The intersection on the left misses a pedestrian crossing due to a lack of refuge space needed to cut pedestrian crossings in multiple phases.

Find someone who loves you as much as North American transit agencies love to give up the most important segment of a bus lane, the one just before the intersection, to honour the sacred right of cars to turn in every direction everywhere.
The 82nd Avenue Transit Project is projected to speed up bus service by up to 20% on 82nd between Clackamas Town Center and the Cully neighborhood.

February 2025 showed a 3.7% increase vs 2024 (adjusting for leap year).
Daily averages are approaching pre-Covid peaks, with a steady upward trend since 2022.
Can't wait to see the March Madness numbers!
