I'm helping companies reduce their AWS bill by 90% (by leaving AWS and going hybrid).

DMs on Bluesky will not be "end-to-end encrypted" until we are able to do some more protocol work.

We have very careful access controls within our systems.

If you're extremely privacy conscious, I'd recommend using Bluesky DMs to share your Signal accounts!

Instagram kept telling me to follow people, then saying that I’m not able to follow more. I know so many people who are Zucc’d in various ways for no apparent reason.

I can’t believe it’s gone on this long with this much abuse and lack of caring about the user experience…

My dear friend found out she has MS.

She's one of the kindest human beings I've ever met and really deserves your help. Any little bit helps! Please check out her Gofundme!

My discover feed is next-level random bliss and it's the antithesis of doomscrolling. Forced feeds and dead-end fixed-path algorithms have ruined social media - it's nice to finally have what we've been missing since the 2000s.

Tesla's factories are toxic. They're hotbeds of racism, sexual harassment, and safety hazards. I combed through more than 50 legal complaints, looked at government records, and spoke to workers to get a complete picture: www.thenation.com/article/soci...
The Toxic Culture at Tesla
The factory floors at America’s top seller of electric vehicles are rife with racial harassment, sexual abuse, and injuries on the job.

Just a reminder that this is bluesky. Most feeds work chronologically and many feeds won't use an algorithm to serve you older posts. Go ahead and repost your Portfolio Day post a few times through the day to make sure people get a chance to see it 🙂

I love the Cornucopia Institute and their scorecards for organic dairy and meats!

They also have a lot of great info for finding companies that aren't owned by the 10 largest consolidated BigAg lobbyists (6/10 have been buying up smaller sustainable brands)

I think one of several possible takeaways here is to discourage

a) binary artifacts in source repos

b) generated source in source repos

If it can't be inspected in a diff, it shouldn't be there.

I still feel like this level of obfuscation could/should be caught by secure CI practices (for OSS projects especially)

Github disabled the repo - please share w/me for R&D purposes if you cloned it. I'm curious how any existing tools or new tools can detect this.
Woah. Backdoor in liblzma targeting ssh servers.

www.openwall.com/lists/oss-se...

It has everything: malicious upstream, masterful obfuscation, detection due to performance degradation, inclusion in OpenSSH via distro patches for systemd support…

Now I’m curious what it does in RSA_public_decrypt
oss-security - backdoor in upstream xz/liblzma leading to ssh server compromise

(I'm not endorsing Reason as a publication - this is just an objective facts-based article and I wasn't able to find a similarly comprehensive source)

The Spacing Guild being left out of Villeneuve’s Dune is more than just a huge omission. The viewer is missing context in so many ways…. None of the characters or groups have any motivation other than “bad” or “good”. Every thematic element has been stripped out completely. Pretentious garbage.

AI “ethics” and “safety” are a Trojan horse.

AI compute power should be a utility like electricity. You don’t want models from Google or OpenAI, nor do you want to train them and give up your queries.

No brakes on the Wanikani train! I'm not stopping until I learn every last kanji. Wanikani doesn't provide furigana so it's going to be really easy to weeb out and read manga soon.

I'm not getting distracted this time. Japanese is my hobby now!
