@kairyssdal.bsky.social Any chance there’s someone out there documenting the full taxpayer expenses being accrued for these petty renames?

Thank. You.
Would love for AI to make my life easier. But many ‘simple’ use cases, it takes me less time to just do the thing vs asking AI and then fixing it.
Every. Single. Story. about women not using AI as much as men portray it as bad for their future career prospects (without a shred of evidence) and a result of women being fearful little ladies rather than looking at AI's output and saying "this sucks, it's not going to help me."
For women, the increase of AI use in the workplace may affect their careers: Harvard study
Women are using AI significantly less then men and it’s going to have a major impact on their careers, according to extensive research on the topic.

I get this counts as news, but like…yeah. We know.

Hugs to the infosec professionals supporting SecDef.
Exclusive: The Pentagon’s independent watchdog has received evidence that messages from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s Signal account previewing a U.S. bombing campaign in Yemen derived from a classified email labeled “SECRET/NOFORN.”
Hegseth Signal messages came from email classified ‘SECRET,’ watchdog told
The revelation contradicts the Trump administration’s long-standing claims that no classified information was shared by the defense secretary’s account during the “Signalgate” scandal.

Stephen Colbert is father.
I've spent a lot of time thinking about this fascinating exchange Colbert had with Dua Lipa, when she asked him about the role his faith plays in his comedy.

Says more about some of the chicken-shit Dems in office right now than it does about Bill Kristol.
Just heard Bill Kristol, former chief of staff for Dan Quayle, say he thinks ICE should be defunded and that the entire DHS should probably be disbanded, which puts him to the left of maybe the majority of elected Democrats. Truly wild times we’re living in.

Everyone’s discussing the $3k, but can we talk about how our DHS head doesn’t know basic purse-related security strategies like…NEVER LEAVING YOUR BAG ON THE FLOOR OF A FUCKING RESTAURANT.

Hit ‘em hard, Harvard!

(Literally, where possible, even.)
Just when it looked like Ivy League colleges were going to knuckle down to pressure from the Trump administration, Harvard rejects a proposed deal, saying it went beyond fighting antisemitism to "unprecedented demands...to control the Harvard community." loom.ly/MAp3GuA

Living in a Groundhog Day post-storm of discovering every day after ordering/replacing network device that next device also needs to be replaced.

Power is fine, ports are not.
Make it make sense.

(Thankful actual end devices are fine.)

The market is crashing, prices are soaring, and Donald Trump is golfing.

You deserve a lot better than this. And it will be on us to build something new.

I mean it’s not if the folks using it can accidentally add reporters on it and not notice…not all security is encryption.
US Attorney General Pam Bondi tells Fox News: "I think Signal is a very safe way to communicate. I don't think foreign adversaries are able to hack Signal, as far as I know."

Astonishingly dumb thing to say.
