I will reiterate that if you are an independent journo/hobbyist I will happily set up your ghost install and host it for a few quid above cost price.
You set up your own stripe and mailgun accounts, and you get to keep ALL your revenue.

If there is one resolution I want for journalists this year: it is to get off S*bstack and use Ghost or any other indy publishing platform that does not fund literal nazis instead.

I can't stress enough that you should take every opportunity that comes your way to support your local public libraries. Many of them are currently struggling and are being DEFUNDED. Local action matters on this front. Don't sit back until those libraries are gone before taking ACTION.

it's literally just windows users. windows users can't type em dashes, arbitrarily because Windows just doesn't map special characters on the keyboard by default. On a mac it's `option-shift-[hyphen]`. On a phone you can just hold the hyphen key and see the variant characters.

I see some suggestions, in the reporting regarding the OMB impoundment order, that a mere delay in spending appropriated funds is legal. But that's not really true. The delay OMB has ordered specifically contradicts the Impoundment Control Act. A thread.
