Perpetually distracted serotonin vampire. Grad student. Erstwhile teacher creature.
also i just feel like gushing about my sweet social media-averse boyfriend. joe is so full of compassion and wit and i just can’t get over him. he’s got it so together and i am endlessly appreciative of him 🥹 i didn’t realize that dating could occur without intense anxiety until I met him 🥰

"Don't speak ill of the dead" being made into an unbreakable commandment by a culture that has done so much to shame away and erase any connection to ancestors in the cultures it oppresses is absolutely infuriating.

To the world:
We are fighting back. Our movement has been silenced by the media here—but we are not backing down. This is what our streets looked like across multiple cities. Tomorrow, there will be more of us! Raise a glass to freedom.

The thing we learned from Web2 is that the most impactful businesses became the most impactful by optimizing for addiction.

Which means we should all ask, how would you optimize generative AI for addiction? Whatever makes it the most addictive is probably what it will become.

sometimes I listen to a song and it’s so achingly beautiful that I feel resentful that I don’t have a musical bone in my body. super glad some people do and share their talent 🥹

Nondisabled people got asked to stay home for two weeks and wear a mask for a handful of months and went and did a fascism about it.

Sincerely, folks in the dominant (especially white) paradigm can’t stand the idea of taking care of each other. They’d rather destroy themselves.
Sometimes I think about what I learned from RWA and what it means for this country, and the lesson I learned is that some white people would rather burn down everything they have than be inclusive.
