Every country has its big lie moment. This was the right's - the economy.

National inherited a AA+/AAA credit economy, one of the lowest OECD debt to GDP ratios, “better than expected” finances & positive growth expectations.

Importantly Treasury always forecasted inflation drops & no recession.

National's #Measles Gambit is risky as infections spread. The good news is #NZ has high immunisation rates but in the USA, measles deaths have returned for the first time in 10 years after previously being "eliminated". Side effects for the vulnerable include blindness. #nzpol #newzealand

Yes, there's obvious environmental destruction and costs associated with farming that urban New Zealanders have to pay for, but don't forget, that's offset by the massive financial benefits that farming brings to [*checks notes*] .... farmers and Australian banks.

Remember butter. Yeah the farming industry here ain't great.
and we have to pay $100 for a leg of lamb because that's what they get overseas AND we have to pay to fix their fences after a storm?

88% of Fonterra farmers vote to cash out and take the money. We've lost a huge Kiwi asset and Fonterra's damage to our environment, waters and health will forever be repaid by Kiwis. Pandering to farmers in the way ACt/Nat does is BS. NZ First's posturing all saddle, no horse #nzpol

This is Sunny Kaushal. The last time he was on TV lamenting crime was in 2024. The next day, Paul Goldsmith made Kaushal chair of a Crime Advisory Group.

Now they’re crowing about it.

But they got there through a concerted control of the cultural narrative and this is just the start.

Fuck Nicola Willis. On RNZ going on a bullshit attack about the leaking of the policy rather than any substance questions.
She had no substance questions. Was it fair to give tobacco free money or landlord welfare that broke the bank.
She throws up red herrings.

We need a capital gains tax.
