Both stories would be better off accepting that their canon will always have holes and contradictions, and leaning in to that fact instead of trying to force a fluid world into a rigid box.
Fans of both worlds should argue the merits of their headcanons without denying the merits of *any* others.

Long-running, multi-author settings like Warhammer and Marvel/DC have a small problem. Certain stubborn persons will inSIST that there is One True Canon, despite numerous holes.

The compulsion to take the fire burning up your insides and turn it into something external is so innate to the human experience, people will keep making cool things no matter what. Those people will find each other and share their cool things. You can fill a pool with concrete, we'll hop in a lake.

People telling you that AI is an inevitability is revealing that they don't know or "get" the creative process. I'm not out here trying to obtain things, if you push out every creative soul and fill the shelves with dogshit people will just keep making their own things. They'll find each others.
