Billionaires would be happy letting the rest of us pay taxes in their place while they focus on buying elections/politicians to make even MORE money that they can never spend.
Imagine being so rich you could spend a million dollars a day for the rest of your life and not even begin to make a dent in your wealth and your focus is still not to pay a little more tax.

Typically I look to Marc's hard work fighting in the courts for (my quickly diminishing) hope...this article doesn't exactly give it, but we are in unprecedented times, so I'll cling to warriors for democracy like @marcelias.bsky.social. Also, check out @democracydocket.com

This baffles me. Days of nauseous @historians.org content about irrelevant issues. And there’s today. And what it means. From AHA? Nothing. Most of the attendees and allies? Nothing. What did I miss? Is this guy a threat to democracy, and intending to use pseudohistory to undermine it, or what?
