Rosalía collaborating with Björk and Patti Smith,,,,,,Charli xcx dropping a duet with John Cale,,,,,, what’s next — Sabrina Carpenter singing with Diamanda Galas?

Anyone else noticing the wave of pop singles/albums whose public discussion centres around the gossip in the lyrics? Charli xcx’s Girl so Confusing and Sympathy is a Knife, Lily Allen’s new album, Hilary Duff’s single, that one song on Rosalia’s LUX. Something is happening culturally.

I think that superhero movies have done a number of human beings conditioning some people to believe that extraordinary actions are what matter. And if one can't be a superhero, then simple, ordinary efforts aren't worth doing.

The wealthiest, most powerful men in the world want slaves without having to see a Black person, girlfriends without having to talk to women, the thrill of being a Hollywood director without having to build any creative skills, and the ability to cheat death. We must mock them ruthlessly.

A friend of Treadwell's met an ancient tree. We delight with him!
Meeting ancient trees is always amazing, this yew though in Llangernyw in North Wales is thought to be 4,000, perhaps 5,000 yrs old!

It is older than Christianity and Stonehenge. 0ne of the oldest living beings on the planet.

Maybe I am too filmmaker-pilled, but I get so annoyed when I can tell exactly the comps someone used to pitch a film.

Earlier today I watched an American commentator (anti-ZM) on France24 seem to lose touch with reality when other panellists rightly said Mamdani’s positions are not radical but indeed only centre-left here in Europe.
"Europeans recognize his vision about free public transit and universal childcare. We expect our governments to make these kinds of services accessible to all of us,” said Verbeek. “We pay higher taxes and get civilized societies in return."
Europeans recognize Zohran Mamdani’s supposedly radical policies as ‘normal’
Critics of New York City’s mayor-elect have said his pledges of free bus service and universal childcare are unrealistic, but in Europe it’s a given

And note that he never rejected what some sneeringly refer to as "idpol". Never came close to throwing minorities under the bus. On the contrary. The affordability agenda came hand in hand with him actively standing up for those principles. He could never have mobilised his base like this otherwise.
Zohran's campaign was his determination to make New York a city everyone can afford to live in. Huge congratulations!

His success will resonate throughout the world. A story where no one is left behind.

It's time to write that story across England & Wales too.
