I have 2 or 3 poems from my chapbook BLOOD-FLEX with @ndrmag that I would love to place before publication next spring. Leads? Recs? Folks accepting work that don't have 6 month to year turn arounds?

To be clear on the kind of chokehold Doechii got me in, I'm about to write a Golden Shovel with "I air this bitch out like a queef" as my reference line.

🥹❤️‍🔥 that’s how I felt sitting in the convo!
I have had a lot on my mind recently and today as I move through space I felt I needed to reconnect with two of my absolute faves @britrogers.bsky.social and @moonsatdusk.bsky.social and I was right. This is healing ❤️

I know we been discussing the quality of Kendrick’s hatred but I’m invested in how he embraces obsession. One of my fears as a creator is being staying stuck on the same idea for too long. Sharing the same poem too many times. Writing about the same topic for too many projects.

“Not Like Us” ain’t even on the album; there aren’t any direct references to Drake in the music video for “squabble up” really.

Kendrick gave that man a merciful out and he really said “nah, I wanna talk to the manager.” INCREDIBLE.

I’m an audiobook lover and educator. I don’t believe listening to audiobooks is reading. While I don’t think one activity is more moral/valid, I do think we’re facing a serious literacy crisis and the insistence that they are the same is dangerous. Literacy rates are abysmal and this will impact us.
I’m interested in what people constitute as “reading” when we’re talking about audiobooks (ab) . It’s not that I don’t think listening to ab is reading, cause it’s certainly engagement with a text/story, but it’s not… reading. As in the verb or physical act of looking at words on a page/screen (1/5)

Y’all know. It’s okay if Kendrick DID mean to disrespect Wayne. Sometimes you really do gotta tell the elders to shut the fuck up talking to you.

One of my mentors would tell me “it would be unkind of me to lie to you” whenever he gave feedback on my poems. I am so much better for the days I’ve spent tending my grief after people who meant me well refused to lie to me with niceties.
Too many of use confuse politeness with kindness and niceness with goodness and that’s why too many soulless bitches running things!!!

Reading through the quote skeets like yes, these are the vibes I have been waiting to arrive to this app!
Kendrick Lamar should never mention Wayne in a sentence of his song, bc we not taking your side over that mf….😂

Just spent two days applying for some arts funding that actually wouldn’t be available until 2026 when I thought I’d be able to use it in 2 months. What the young kids say? I’m ’bout to crash out
