My great-grandmother Dorothy’s mink was my first installation. Visitors could sit with it, put on headphones, and listen to me interview her during her final months of life battling cancer. We talked about raising daughters and what she wished she knew before marrying, and her love for travel.

If you told me 3 years ago that not only would I be a curator and visual artist with a whole solo exhibition but that my work would be featured on @PBS and @hulu I would have called you a liar but here’s to surprising myself.
