I know it must seem that predation by cats is “natural,” but in the context of the natural world, it is not. Domestic cats are an introduced species, and birds did not evolve to understand how to evade them. Keeping cats indoors or on a leash is safest for everybody.
Domestic #cats take an unfathomable toll on #birds, killing ~2.4 billion annually in the USA alone.
