My focus is on the money. It’s been broken since the Smithsonian Agreement, and so many of today’s issues are downstream from this. It’s how they’ve kept us on the back foot.

Getting resistance movements to use the bitcoin network undoes this past violence.
1/ Your overwhelm is the goal—it’s not accidental. The chaos, the flood of news, the constant crises? The negativity. It’s a strategic manipulation designed to disorient and exhaust you. Here’s how it works and how you can fight back. 🧵 #Voices4Victory #DemVoice1 #USDemocracy #ProudBlue

If you’re in politics and you want to know if you’re the good guy, ask yourself whether you think of your voters as a resource, or as a responsibility.

Breaking the social contract indicates an explicit departure from said society.

Regard those who do so accordingly.

On this Trans Day of Remembrance, we remember the bright and courageous trans people whose lives were stolen by hatred. Their absence is felt across our city.

We will honor them by building a New York where every trans person can live safely, fully and freely.

If you’ve encountered the term ‘sealioning’ in reference to fallacious argumentation but haven’t encountered it in the wild, take note of everything Bill does in the linked thread.

Just… running constant exhausting interference under a pretense of championing objectivity & decorum.

Folks, this is a good-ass piece of writing.
Today I wrote about Zohran Mamdani's historic win, the energizing power of holding to shared principles of decency, and a taxonomy of the endlessly intertwined relationship between shame and vision. www.the-reframe.com/the-extraord...

Winning by creating vision in the positive space of shared standards, and expertly negotiating the negative space of shame.

Both sides are dressing for the party they want to have.
“I’m worried about my community… I’m out here in a frog costume to show how ridiculous the notion that we’re violent terrorists is, and showcase how that narrative is wrong…”

Serious Q: is it too late to give this dude the Nobel Peace Prize? 🐸 🏆

When you perceive threats everywhere you look, you *become* the threat everywhere you are.

Today was a good day for this to cross my path. Sending it onward.
Haven't felt well the past few days, so I didn't workout last night or today.

Psychologically, it's screwing with me.

Old demons clawing up my back and perching on my shoulder, whispering tails of my failure in my ear.

But pausing to heal is NOT failure.

Sharing for anyone else who needs it. ♥️

You found a "solution" for autism? Is it accepting everyone's place in the beautiful mosaic of human life? Okay I'm guessing from the look on your face that it's not that

Okay, here’s my conspiracy theory:

The billionaires have figured out Jesus *is* actually on his way back, and they know they’re on his shit list.

So they’re hoovering up every brown-skinned person they can, hoping they get him before he has a chance to enact his divine retribution.

Unfortunately, I suspect we are entering a period of increasing vigilantism bc that’s what shows up when people don’t trust government. That trust takes years to build and weeks to crumble. 💔

“The Office”: a show about selling new office paper

“The Paper”: a show about a newspaper office
“The Paper,” a new spinoff of “The Office,” establishes a sense of nostalgia for the idea of the newspaper—not as a vector of Pulitzer-worthy journalism, necessarily, but as a physical thing.
What “The Paper” Has to Say About Journalism
The new “Office” spinoff is a love letter to newspapers—if not the reporting inside them.

It’s hard to notice. We simultaneously perceive ourselves at one timescale while the system - of which we are a part - operates on a slower one.

Individual action takes place between the instants of a nation’s perception.

Just as a cascade of neurons have to do their thing, before we do *anything*
Like a flock of birds or an ant colony, groups of humans are capable of behaving as a unit on multiple orders of magnitude.

Verbal communication allows for the coordination of teams, printed communication allows for the coordination of communities. Televised, for nations; digitized, for planets.

Knowing that things are bad does not stimulate people to do something about it

They also need to know what action they can take

AND believe that it will make a difference
I used to believe if enough people knew terrible things were happening, then they would stop them from continuing to happen.

Time has proven me wrong, and I feel stupid for ever having believed it.

Probably the closest thing to a hot take I have - LLM usage might be a whole lot lower if we didn’t have a culture of trying to optimise human work and talent to the point of peak efficiency 100% of a workday, and pushing for even more on end of project crushes.

People will shortcut when pushed.
