This is a horrifying ruling that shows a disdain for basic human rights principles — made all the more unconscionable by the fact that the Republican appointees did so with no reasoning and on the shadow docket.
BREAKING: SCOTUS over liberals' dissent, blocks district court order requiring process before carrying out third country removals. SCOTUS's order allows Trump admin to carry out third country removals without the protections required—notice and opportunity to raise a challenge. No reason is given.

The 1973 War Powers Act and the Constitution both give Congress—not the president—the power to declare war. Trump conveniently forgot that when he ordered strikes on Iran this weekend.

Congress has the sole power to declare war – full stop.

The idea that the US would potentially deploy a bunker buster bomb in Iran w/out Congressional approval not only flies in the face of our Constitution, it would also rope us into another forever war that Americans do not want.

Only Congress has the power to declare war and our elected officials must take that power back. Urge your senators to use their constitutional authority with the war powers resolution: act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran...

Then do the same with your representative: act.indivisible.org/sign/no-iran...

I've been briefed on the intelligence - there is no evidence Iran posed an imminent threat to the United States. That makes this attack illegal.

Only Congress can declare preemptive war.

The United States should not wage war against Iran.

Donald Trump’s bombing of Iran is unconstitutional. Only Congress can declare war — and the Senate must vote immediately to prevent an another endless war.

This is a horrific war of choice.

Perryman: Let’s be clear: the attacks on lawyers are blatantly unconstitutional. Every single federal court that has considered the executive orders naming law firms has issued orders to block them because they are patently unlawful.

What does it say about lawyers who won’t challenge that?

My advice: Find a law firm that will not back down and will never bend a knee.
