All right I’m gonna take the bait from Gov. A here, because I have *feelings* about book bans:

1) encountering challenging content in context, with opportunities to ask trusted adults about it: a good thing!

2) shit stirring at a board meeting just to be offensive: something entirely different!
“If a book cannot be read out loud at a school board meeting in Texas then there is no reason for Texas children in school to be able to read it,” Abbot wrote, sharing a video of one of the activists reading a passage from a book they objected to at a different school board meeting. Abbott added, “School Districts cannot have it both ways.”

rented an absurd 150-600mm zoom lens for the week and it is already worth every penny
an orange tabby cat's face fills the frame. he looks flattened and extra chubby due to the extreme focal length, but it might be hard to notice since his adorable pink tongue tip is hanging out and it's hard to look at anything else

Gotta love how we prop up Romeo & Juliet as a love story when Romeo starts the play pining for Rosaline, Juliet's cousin, but then whines she won't put out and then he immediately love bombs the FAR YOUNGER and thus more vulnerable and fuckable 13 year old Juliet.

Shakespeare did that on purpose.
