So incredibly correct. At the company I work for “AI” has been expanded to mean gen ai (bad), machine learning (normal) and automation (good). It’s infuriating because big wigs will ask “how can we use AI to make this process better?” And you have no idea what they mean by that anymore
Honestly, the new worst thing about AI is companies calling shit they always did AI. Now this is meaningless and I'm unsure if you mean the old shit that works or the new shit that doesn't.

and before someone is like "uh actually didn't you know that tons of people hate the United States" the thing the actual polling shows is that only 5% of Americans answer "not at all" to "are you proud to be an American." 67% answer "Very" or "Extremely" Proud. Americans like America!

Anecdotally I’ve heard a handful of more centrist relations of mine mentioning that they were really bothered by the way Harris ended up with the nomination (no primary no one voting for her etc) and I’m not sure what to make of that.

As an example of this I have a friend who voted Obama in ‘08 stein in ‘16 and Trump in ‘20 and ‘24. He says his biggest issue is peace and Trump has shown a commitment to that. It’s pure nonsense. How can you convince a guy like that?
I haven't seen a single "we have to understand the concerns of Trump voters" take reckons with the fact that a huge percentage of their concerns are based on false information. You cannot "address" a concern about a fake thing!
