Steve Scalise has clearly never worked for tips or received medicaid. What a total garbage monster.

When I meet people whose Podcasts I listen to or books I’ve read, and they’re absolutely dreamy, lovely humans? The best. (For the record, people who create things other folks enjoy are allowed to have bad days, too!) Anyway… everyone should listen to Glamorous Trash and Vibe Check, I guess. ✨

Magical thinking is so bonkers, because why am I over here thinking my hair length and the Kings have anything to do with possible future employment?

Pretty sure all the Laurie/Jo scenes in the 1994 Little Women are some kind of bi panic core memory whathaveyou bits and bobbles.

@booker.senate.gov is absolutely killing it. I’ve listened to nearly 2 hours, and this is what representing one’s constituents looks like. Was stoked to hear @padilla.senate.gov after calling his office regularly asking questions on behalf of CA. Love this.

Y’all ever accidentally tell a Tony-nominated actor to clown your former boss as a goof? No? Me neither.

I’m sorry you’re having one of those days. I know the feeling.

Take a moment and think of a person you’d give anything to protect. That person, those people, are your point.

Today, take care of yourself for them. Love yourself so you can love them. One day, and then another day, and then—
@theferocity.bsky.social Saeed, may I trouble you for some pearls of wisdom? I am feeling a great amount of despair today. Very what’s the point. I’m so over being ruled by classist elites who are more interested in filling their coffers than do anything to help us.

I awakened a snowboarding injury in my hand stress-playing Planet Zoo, and I really need it to heal so I can go back to stress-playing Planet Zoo.

Took my dog to the park, where an AA meeting and television shoot were happening simultaneously. This town is goofy.

Apparently the move is taking Four Past Midnight from your mom’s shelf to your 3rd grade classroom (only to be told that The Langoliers might have too many cuss words in it to read at school, so you lug that chunky thousand-page hardcover back home and read it there instead.)

Learned that a friend was quoted $1400 for a dose of Paxlovid today. With insurance. It’s not too late to start caring and being active, y’all.

I turned on the TV just for the halftime show, and holy shit Kendrick. I can’t wait to read 47 articles breaking down every single detail of that mind-blowing performance. So damn good.

I feel like the folks saying Kiernan Culkin always plays the same character didn’t actually watch A Real Pain. The award noms are deserved.

Welp, watching Wicked unlocked my inner Broadway girly, and I’ve watched chunks of Phantom of the Opera and Cabaret in the last 24 hours. Would recommend reading The Berlin Stories and revisiting Cabaret. It’s fascinating what details from the book were used.
