I'm landing on Bluesky after moving from Twitter/X and investing a few years on Mastodon.

I like Mastodon, but I also find it to be "less lively" in the #gamedev context, when compared to Twitter/X.

I miss many of the user and their contents and, apparently, they mostly moved here. :)
With Wayland not supporting the dynamic setting of an application icon, I guess I'll simply remove this feature from my game engine.

Even after all this time, I still believe that Cannon Fodder is one of the best games ever created!

I'm becoming more and more obsessed with sythwave music during my coding hours. There are a lot of awesome YouTube channels. Yes, it's quite formulaic in nature (and some definitely GenAI driven), but they serve very well their purpose.

Apparently, having a custom file format for the image assets of my game-engine would make sense. This means that I need to write an image conversion tool, including palette optimization capabilities...
