When it comes to boycotting, just a thought. It’s okay if you can’t quit a company cold turkey. In Master Gardeners, when we encourage people to switch to native plants, the goal is 70% native, not 100%. If you were shopping at a store 80% of the time and cut it back to 60%, that 20% still hurts.

Illinois respects the sovereignty and borders of Ukraine — now and always.

Three years ago, Russia invaded Ukraine without warning or provocation. Peace and freedom requires resistance to tyranny and oppression.

Suspect the place we really went off the rails as a country was 1864 when we didn't bar from government every single member of the Confederate government and army without exception, seize 100% of Confederate property to give to formerly enslaved people, and muster a Black-led army to defend it all.

I took a peek at Fox and the coverage there is just.... 🙃 So I'm not sure people will ever be convinced of what is happening even if it does impact their lives as long as that's where they get news (or worse places).
I've followed too many good people and now my BlueSky feed is stressful. We gotta stop doom scrolling /doomsharing and get to working toward solutions. I am sick seeing everything that's happening and how fast it is going.

Me to myself as I work in my art goals for the year!
If I have any advice for making comics it’s this:

Sure your comic might be bad, but no one can make that bad comic in quite the same way you can, so you should still do it.

Found out that TWENTY emails is considered a lot to politicians on an issue.

TWENTY.

As in, they call that getting slammed.

So next time you see a request to email your rep, or call, keep that in mind.

TWENTY is a lot.

one thing about DEIA I don't see emphasized enough is how often it also helps a lot of veterans (physically and mentally wounded ones too) and white women get opportunities like attend college and internships and these Republican segregationist policies will also take those away
