About 90,000 people living near larger chemical plants face an unacceptable risk of developing cancer, the EPA says.

New rules adopted last year could’ve cut that number to 3,000 residents — a drop of 97%.

Southwest is taking away all their best features, seemingly at least in part because too many travelers can’t figure out “numerical order” and “take turns”. But they’ve also stopped asking you to put bags in bins “like a book”—now it’s “taco-style”. I love a taco, but geez: nobody reads anymore.

I’m telling you, there’s just not enough outrage about the craven actions of Speaker Mike Johnson.
Grijalva: I was looking at the example of now-Representative Walkinshaw from Virginia, who was elected two weeks ago Tuesday. The following Wednesday—less than 24 hours later—he was sworn in, with unofficial results.

So for me, apparently the rules have now changed in just two weeks.

Most striking thing about this clip is not Trump floating the idea of being a dictator (again) and claiming some want that.

The most striking thing is his sneering dismissal of the counter argument "freedom."

Only modern US president to explicitly oppose freedom. Should be the basis of opposition.

That’s how you buy loyalty: by giving jobs to people who would most likely never have gotten them under normal circumstances. They will do anything to hold on to that job including breaking laws they barely grasp. Resource dependence theory (Pfeffer & Salancik) led to the “golden handcuff” theory.
