The road to authoritarianism…..
ProPublica’s @andykroll.bsky.social spent months chronicling Russ Vought’s rise from the Senate mailroom to one of the most influential players in the current Trump administration, where he has tried to fulfill his desire to put federal workers “in trauma.”

Teacher-Student?What could go wrong?!
So Harvard is keeping this guy, but Claudine Gay had to step down over ginned up plagiarism accusations and bad-faith accusations of anti-Semitism.

Got it.
Larry Summers tells @theharvardcrimson.bsky.social
he’s stepping back from all public commitments in light of his messages with Epstein, saying he is “deeply ashamed” and hopes “to rebuild trust and repair relationships.”

He will continue teaching.

The priority has been to show how powerful ONE (man/country) is by being cruel and mean. It's careless systemic genocide People voted for this to show America’s greatness. Empathy be damned.
Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Yes. In normal times Vance’s admission that the Haitians eating dogs and cats story was a lie (“a story”)would be the end of a career. It wasn’t even treated as a speed bump.

This is just a Republican bait-and-switch to repeal Obamacare for the 70th time.

Let’s get serious — extend the health care tax credits and open the government.
