This is the exact same thing he wanted to do with the Covid death numbers back in 2020. He wanted the hospitals to stop counting because if we didn’t have any data, then nobody could report on how badly things were 😕
BREAKING: E.J. Antoni, Trump's candidate to lead the Bureau of Labor Statistics, is now suggesting suspending the agency’s monthly jobs report.

Holy shit this is real Soviet/N. Korean style stuff. After the dismal jobs report Trump is going to fire people who compile the data and replace them with hacks. The markets and American people will never be able to trust these numbers again.

Just when I think I can’t possibly be more angry with the Pirates, they go and have a day like today. I fucking hate this franchise so much.

The more I think about it, Ben Cherington’s plan is clear: He’s positioning the Pirates to get Arch Manning in the 2026 Draft.

NEWS

Senator Josh Hawley’s bill to ban stock trading for members of Congress, the President, and Vice President has passed out of committee.

The vote was 8–7, with Hawley being the only GOP to join Dems.

White House had lobbied against the bill since it includes the President and Vice President.

Got to the the irony of waxing poetic about “real men” as he posts a picture of a fantasy character that can perform magic.
Real like this AI creation?

In a sane world, every newspaper would run on A1 tomorrow:

“IDF THREAT: IF JOURNALISTS PHOTOGRAPH GAZA, WE WILL STARVE GAZA”
Journalists covering the aid air drops say they have been warned by Israel not to film Gaza from the air or the air drops will stop. (Do they not want us to see the scale of the damage?)

“International journalists have not been allowed inside Gaza.”

I mean… they did. How did they do anything but ensure that every step along the way their generation did not benefit? They are the pinnacle of shortsightedness. The true “What about me?”-ers. Their selfishness has known no bounds and were absolutely fucked because of it.
Robert Reich, the former labor secretary and retired professor, has warned about rising inequality in America for decades. Now, he’s become a star online with an audience of millions, and he feels his message is more urgent than ever. www.nytimes.com/2025/07/26/m...

pretty telling comment here. Britain and America absolutely did feed and clothe Nazi and Japanese POWs during WWII. and they provided food and supplies to occupied territories as the war was won. the Hunger Plan by contrast was a Nazi thing

Like him or not, and eye roll at him as frequently as I do, but in this case, I think he’s right.
There is only one way to read Trump’s post today about Epstein - basically a confession.

He’s guilty, he knows he’s guilty, his cult isn’t culting on this, and he’s a cornered rat with no way out other than to plead with people not to care about child sex trafficking.

Saw Superman last night… The casting all around was superb, particularly that of David Corenswet and Nicholas Hoult. Movie as a whole, was a ton of fun, but definitely was missing something from a structural standpoint, but can’t put my finger on what.

Can’t wait to take Owen here soon.

Imagine if any country attempted to interfere with our sovereignty just once, let alone a tenth as frequently as this president does.
Trump writes one of the most unhinged letters ever produced by an American president, demanding the right to interfere with Brazil’s case against Bolsinaro and threatening huge tariffs if they don’t let him walk free, and this your lede?
