I'm listening to A Crow Looked At Me and thinking and feeling things I haven't let myself feel in such a long time.
I always thought of losing my mind five or six years ago as a kind of death. But that's not what this album is about. But I've never processed that death. Not really.

I will admit this is a subtweet today, but I will also say that the circumstances are vague enough to where you could just use this on a lot of stuff.
Found some bad faith posts on another site that really sucks from people who are really stupid. Thank God, now we can steer the discourse the way I want to.

When politicians discuss autism, pay attention to who they say they’re helping. You’ll find it’s almost always “families” or “parents of kids with autism,” rather than #autistic people ourselves. Their primary concern is the burden we supposedly impose on others. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.

It's a really weird thing that the airport book management class 100% thinks universities exist to be Mandatory Debate Club, some rite of passage where the common, ordinary person (who is obviously an idiot unlike them) must be dragged through controversial ideas and takes until they come out right.

The New School is now a place where students cannot major in History, Anthropology, Sociology, Global Policy & International Affairs, Global Studies, Urban Studies, or Environmental Studies. And more pauses, closures, and mergers coming down the pike this week. The future is uncertain.

Something really breaking me is that a politician can just say they're doing meaningful and progressive things and then just never do them - but be treated as if they are. I do not think Newsom or whatever going on The Billy Hitler Hour and then posting here "DIAPER DON HAS LIMP WRISTS" is promising

Destroying one of the few good things about the US in order to please a sector that actively hates you - in the name of their worthless tech that makes society worse and makes people dumber - is just not a good idea.
This is terrible. Ursinus College (where my partner works) spent last year planning a reorganization (they’re creating multidisciplinary “hubs”) only for its administration to announce layoffs this semester. I hope this isn’t in the cards for those working at Montclair State

APS is looking for ways to not do its job. I talked to the experts. I reported. I do everything right. I do what the smart, reasonable people KNOW they'd do if they'd ended up trapped in Munchausen by Proxy. "Sorry, I can't help." "Sorry, this is beyond my expertise." "We don't represent that law."

I don't object to the idea that "the South" has a racist past and present. I object to essentialism that levels its people into a homogenous mass of bigots and to exceptionalism that demarcates particular forms of hate as regional, and therefore atypical for--rather than emblematic of--the nation.

I don't think the only option for prison abolition is "revenge killing" or that revenge killing is a type of noble activity. I think sometimes some people spend too much time on the discourse mines and think it makes them scholars.
