Kinda reminds me that video games were once a pro-social activity. Kids - some of whom I barely knew - would gather at my house to get their turn playing Nintendo. Eight or ten children watching others play and chatting for hours. Obviously it’s not the same online.
This was basically the set up in my house as a kid. That TV looks similar to the one I grew up with. Mine had knobs and buttons. But still, looked like furniture. Ah, memories.

In Elementary school, absolutely. Review is important and parents need to be involved with their learner.
For older kids, it depends.
I never did my APUSH homework because I was able to retain the information...but I appreciated having extra practice with the math I wasn't getting.
